Grief Counseling & Loss Support for all Ages

Navigating Grief & Finding Your Path Forward

Grief is a natural response to loss, but it can feel incredibly lonely and overwhelming. There is no right or wrong way to feel, and there is no set timeline for healing. We provide a safe, judgment-free space to help you process your emotions, honor your memories, and find your footing again at your own pace.

You do not have to carry this heavy burden alone

We are here to help you find your footing during this difficult time.

Sometimes Grief is Complicated

The Reality: Sometimes, time doesn’t seem to heal all wounds.

The Struggle: You might feel completelyWhen you experience a profound loss, the world stops. The Experience: The pain remains as intense as day one.

The Signs: Constant longing, disbelief, or feeling completely numb.

Our Support: We help untangle the knots keeping you stuck.

Normally, the sharp edges of grief soften over time. With complicated grief, however, the pain remains raw, intense, and paralyzing for months or even years. You might feel like you are trapped in a loop of functional survival, unable to move forward or find joy in anything. It is not a sign of weakness; it just means your mind and heart need extra help processing the magnitude of what happened. Together, we will gently explore those heavy feelings, work through the obstacles keeping you stuck, and help you find a way to carry your love for who you lost without being crushed by the weight of it.

Children & Grief

The Reality: Children experience and express loss very differently than adults.

The Struggle: Kids often lack the words for their pain.

The Experience: Grief may look like anger or acting out.

The Signs: Mood swings, academic drops, or reverting to younger behaviors.

Our Support: Safe, age-appropriate therapies like play and art.

Children don't grieve the same way adults do. They might be crying one minute and asking to go play outside the next. This "puddle-jumping" through grief can be confusing for parents to navigate. Children often express their heartbreak through changes in behavior, sudden anger, trouble sleeping, or slipping backward in their development. We provide a warm, inviting space where children and teens can make sense of their changing world. Using art, play, and age-appropriate storytelling, we give them the tools to understand their emotions, share their fears, and heal without feeling forced to act older than they are.

What to Do in the First 48 Hours after a Loss

The Reality: The immediate aftermath of loss brings total shock.

The Struggle: Making heavy decisions while your brain is numb.

The Experience: Feeling completely overwhelmed by tasks and people.

The Signs: Mental fog, physical exhaustion, and deep emotional panic.

Our Support: A grounding guide to help you survive day one.

When a loss first happens, your brain enters a state of shock. The world spins, yet you are suddenly expected to make major decisions and answer endless questions. In these first 48 hours, your only job is to survive. Take a deep breath. Drink water. Lean heavily on your trusted circle and delegate everything you can—let others cook, clean, or make phone calls. Write down important details because your memory will likely feel fuzzy. Most importantly, give yourself permission to feel whatever comes up, whether that is crying uncontrollably or feeling completely blank. You don't have to figure out the future today; just focus on the next five minutes.
