ShayTeria is a psychotherapist who is passionately committed to helping her clients, those who internalize and struggle to find their voice and others who may overly externalize and struggle to maintaining a space for themselves outside of the opinions and labels of others.
She works to help clients both see and maintain their values while using their voice as they learn to tap into and reach their full potential. With an understanding that a major barrier to reaching one’s potential or to experiencing the full spectrum of healing is often rooted in trauma. Whether it is childhood related, romantic partner related, and/or work related, it must be addressed. ShayTeria specializes in examining trans-generational trauma and its continued effects on the psyche to aid in her efforts to help clients heal and thrive.
ShayTeria believes that while we may be conditioned to deal with difficulties alone as a measure of strength and endurance, doing so can also perpetuate a cycle of pain. She understands that when it comes to healing from damage, strength becomes defined and measured by reaching out to someone outside of us to lessen the burden as part of the collective. She knows that strength is learning to build a foundation that fosters the growth of the mind, as opposed to bearing the decay of one’s mind when things become intolerable.
Let ShayTeria assist you in reclaiming that strength, for living in peace is your birthright!
ShayTeria is a Certified Trauma Professional, and a CAMS Certified Provider, who utilizes CBT, EMDR, SFT. She has received specialized training in Postpartum Depression.
